Special 004 - XL Fine Ivory Bench Stone

One of our best large and thick bench size sharpening stones. 8.25” x 3.5” x 3” length, width and thickness. 
I’ve sealed a few open lines  in the sides of the stone with cyanoacrylate - it’s stable and there is one perfect main large sharpening surface. I’ve discounted this one a bit more for the lines that needed sealing - this is an excellent choice if you want a massive stone that doesn’t break the bank.
Thick stones like this are for professionals. This will last multiple lifetime even if you flatten it with a diamond plate for the fastest slurry and highest polishing abilities every time you sharpen with it.
This is a very fine grit stone 5+ fineness with a level 4.5 to 5 hardness and 5 cutting speed. Unlike the white ivory stones that are harder with  5+ plus rating, this yellow ivory will release mud on its own If you sharpen with firm pressure - it is a very suitable finishing stone! And one that can also jump the gap from mid range easily to final polishing / sharpening. A joy to use it it’s huge size and definitely one for serious collectors.
